Coasteering

Please look at our BLOG to see our most recent adventures: http://a4adventure.blogspot.com/

Also known as Adventure Swimming, coasteering is an adventurous mix of scrambling around rocks, exploring the wet area of the coastline, jumping into water from height and swimming through the sea swell.

You will see the coast from a perspective not shared by many, at the same time as challenging yourself and developing the trust and friendship you have in the people around you.

There are two main forms of the activity: wet and dry.

Whichever option you choose, you will be thoroughly briefed on the activity, kitted out in all the protective gear you need and will be accompanied throughout by our competent and experienced instructors.

There is nothing that we will make you do - this is your day and we will help you make the very most of it within your limits. 'Challenge by choice' remains key to the ethos of the company.

Wet

Involves climbing and scrambling around the coastline, being splashed by the waves, and then taking on a series of increasingly high jumps. You will have chance to enjoy playing in the gently moving swells, as well as swimming across stretches of more open water.

This activity is ideal for water- and adrenaline lovers, involving a committing traverse around a section of coastline and serious interaction with the waves and spray.

Dry

Involves climbing and scrambling around the coastline, but this time staying above the waves - but perhaps not always above the spray!! By staying drier we will have more time to explore along the coastline, climbing over rocks and obstacles and exploring features and views which are normally hidden from us.

Difficulty: Medium (must be able to swim)

Fear Factor: Medium to High - you choose

Locations:

Wet - Bridgend / Porthcawl (South Wales)

Swansea / Gower (South Wales)

St David's, Pembrokeshire (South West Wales)

Dry - Bridgend / Porthcawl (South Wales)
